Beaulieu sur Mer is just along the coast from Nice,on the way to Monaco. I'm getting to know this area a bit, as we've been coming here quite frequently over the last couple of months. The beach here is small and quite cosy and the water is shockingly warm. I'm used to the more bracing Pacific Ocean water temperatures. I'm planning to take the train to Menton (close to the Italian border) on Monday.
so beautiful, really really beautiful!!!! especially the last photo, I loooooove it! Have a trip and I will be looking forward to seeing more of your wonderful photos ;)
i was an au-pair in france for a while and have very fond memories of menton. look forward to you translating that nostalgia visually for me. you've already stirred the synapses pretty well as macaroons are one of the things i miss most about france. so, a l'enverse, what do you miss most about antipodea? maybe i can capture it back to you?
maureen - i've never really got the attraction of macaroons (apart from how great they look) but recently i had some really mouthwatering ones and i'm converted now.
hiki & lovepics - thank you!
two-birds - they're a vine called bougainvillea; the colours vary from crimson to purple and are really this intense!
charlie - good luck with your project! i might pop in for a drink en route to nz next time. i really miss lying on lawn!
marion - it's really beautiful from the outside but haven't been inside. that whole coastline is stunning.
