Anish Kapoor au Grand Palais

I was luckily enough to see Anish Kapoor's scultpure at the Grand Palais in Paris last week. Mille merci Marion for the tip. I went early to beat the ques. It was the last day of exhibition. Merci encore Marion! I'd never been to the Grand Palais before and was completely wowed by the space.

You can see more shots of Monumenta here, here & here.

Sadly not taken flying over England from a hot air balloon but from the rather less glamorous window of a red eye easyjet flight.

THE AALTO HOUSE

I've made a little book of photos taken in Alvar Aalto's House in Helsinki.
If anyone is interested in a copy, it's available here.

It's a 32 page square format soft covered book, printed on heavy archival-quality (148 GSM) uncoated matt paper.

a week in the country

A couple of weeks ago we had a few days staying at a friend's place in the Aveyron deep in the heart of Roquefort country. Much cheese was had, accompanied by lots of good reds from Rousillion.

coffee & donuts

Ever since Nigel Slater wrote in the Observer food monthly about the St. John doughnuts, I've been wanting to go down to Maltby Street market to try one. I finally made it down on my last trip to London, early one sunny Saturday morning.
