the hare with amber eyes

This is one of those books you read as slowly as possible in the hope that it won't come to an end.
Edmund de Waal's book is a biography of things as much as of people, specifically a collection of minature Japanese sculptures - netsuke.

We're off on a much needed break away to the wilds of the Catalunya coast this weekend.
