grasse

As soon as you get off the train at Grasse you're hit by the heady smell of perfume. This is not surprising, as Grasse is the town central to Patrick Suskind's novel Perfume and is still France's center of the perfume industry. Incidentally, Grasse was the death place of Édith Piaf.

  1. so poetic that edith piaf passed in this fragrant town. I always wanted to get a perfume from france, one that is custom for me! I know they have perfumes down to a science.

  9. It looks so idyllic! And I imagine it smells lovely, however, I might think it's overwhelming with all the perfume... :)
